The Yukon Adventure Company, owned and operated by Jon and Tanya Korta, has been 15 years in the making. Believing that where they lived was as important as what they did for a living, Jon and Tanya (and their three children) have used that philosophy to follow their hearts and their dreams, taking the road less travelled that has ultimately led them to call the Yukon River community of Galena, Alaska their home.

While exploring the Alaskan wilderness has been a constant in their lives, their experiences have been varied and unique. Over the years, Jon has been an educator, stay at home dad, book keeper, log builder, dog musher, kennel operator, Iditarod finisher, wilderness adventurer, small business owner, and fledgling writer. Tanya has worked as an elementary school teacher, community health aide, volunteer EMT, home school support teacher, home school mom, wilderness adventurer and yoga instructor.

Living in a spectacular wilderness setting, with their family and community as the focus, the privilege of sharing it with others has long been the goal. The Yukon Adventure Company is where the journey has taken them... the Korta's invite you to share the journey.
